Journal of Educational and Psychological Studies (JEPS) is a refereed periodical issued by Sultan Qaboos University. It is concerned with publishing original research that has originality of thought, clarity of methodology, and accuracy of documentation in curricula and teaching methods, educational psychology, and educational administration. The journal also publishes reports about conferences and symposia, reviews of recently published educational and psychological books, and synopses of university dissertations in different fields of education.
JEPS follows a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of the research published. The journal is published in Arabic and/or in English and provides open access to its content, ensuring that research is freely available to the public.
Established in 2005, JEPS published its first issue in 2007. After an irregular start, the journal has published quarterly issues since 2013, with issues released in January, April, July, and October.
JEPS is abstracted and indexed by DOAJ, EBSCO, Google Scholar, Ulrich, Al-Mandhoma, Al-Manhal, Shamaa, and Arcif. The average time from submission to first editorial decision is 10 days, and the average time from editorial acceptance to publication is 6 months, depending on the timely response of authors and reviewers. The acceptance rate is 15%.
