Abstract

This study aims to uncover the relative contribution of psychological capital in predicting compassionate communication skills among a sample of psychological counselors. It examines the levels of psychological capital and compassionate communication, explores the relationship between them, and employs a descriptive methodology. To achieve its objectives, two developed scales were applied: the Psychological Capital Scale and the Compassionate Communication Skill Scale. The sample consisted of 217 psychological counselors (male and female) from northern governorates in the West Bank and southern regions in Gaza, selected via snowball sampling. The results revealed that psychological capital among counselors was 81.2%, indicating a high level, while compassionate communication skills scored 87.6%, also reflecting a high level. A statistically significant correlation was found between psychological capital and compassionate communication skills. Furthermore, components of psychological capital—resilience, hope, and self-efficacy—collectively accounted for 34.9% of the variance in compassionate communication skills. The study recommends designing intensive training programs for psychological counselors in conflict-affected areas, emphasizing the enhancement of resilience, hope, and self-efficacy. It also advocates integrating practical, contextually appropriate tools tailored to the Palestinian cultural context to improve compassionate communication in high-pressure work environments.

الملخص

هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن الإسهام النسبي لرأس المال النفسي في التنبؤ بمهارة التواصل الرحيم لدى عينة من المرشدين النفسيين، والكشف عن مستويات رأس المال النفسي ومهارة التواصل الرحيم، وفحص العلاقة بينهما. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، ولتحقيق أهداف ال رّّاسة طُُ قِِّ مقياسان مطوران هما: مقياس رأس المال النفسي، ومقياس مهارة التواصل الرحيم، على عينة تكونت من ) 217 ( مرشد د ب ا ومرشدة نفسي من محافظات الشمال في الضفة والجنوب في غزة، تم اختيارهم بطريقة عينة كرة الثلج، وأشارت النتائج إلى أن نسبة رأس المال ا النفسي بين المرشدين النفسيين كانت )% 81.2 ( مبستوى مرتفع، ونسبة مهارة التواصل الرحيم بينهم )% 87.6 ( مبستوى مرتفع أيض .ًً وأظهرت ا النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباط ذات دلالة إحصائية بين رأس المال النفسي ومهارة التواصل الرحيم لدى العينة. وكشفت النتائج عن إسهام مكونات رأس المال النفسي في التنبؤ بمهارة التواصل الرحيم؛ من خلال ثلاثة مجالات من رأس المال النفسي وهي: المرونة، والأمل، والكفاءة الذاتية، حيث أسهمت مع في تفسير )% 34.9 ( من التباين في مهارة التواصل الرحيم، وأوصت الدراسة بتصميم برامج تدريبية مكثفة للمرشدين النفسيين ا في ا لمنا ق المتأثرة بالصراعات مع ال رت رُتكُيز على تعزيز المرونة والأمل والكفاءة الذاتية ودمج أدوات عملية ملائمة للسياق الثقافي الفلسطيني؛ ط رر لتحسين التواصل الرحيم في بيئات العمل عالية الضغوط.
